Reminder to Club Administrators: Submit Your ENYYSA Certificate of Insurance (COI) Request Now

As the summer turns into the Fall 2025 season, all club administrators are reminded to complete their ENYYSA Certificate of Insurance (COI) Request Form for the 2025/2026 season as soon as possible. The form is available on the CJSL website>> Resources>> All Forms>> ENY Certificate of Insurance (COI) Request Form.

This is a crucial step for any team registered through the CJSL and using New York City Parks Department fields—including teams competing in CJSL, Girls’s City, CJSL 4v4, EDP, NAL, and more—as a valid COI is required for your permit application to be approved. Next season’s ENYYSA COI’s will be valid from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026.

Why It Matters

Without an active COI on file for the upcoming season permit reuqest, your team risks delays or denial of field permits. Whether you’re training, scrimmaging, or competing, liability coverage through ENYYSA is non-negotiable for field use approval through NYC Parks.

Who Is Insured?

The following are covered under ENYYSA’s liability insurance:

  • ENYYSA, its leagues, clubs, teams, players, coaches, referees, and volunteers

  • Directors, officers, ODP administrators, officials, and sponsors

  • Players, even those not formally registered, participating in sanctioned practices, games, and team activities

Note: Coverage extends to players trying out with new teams, but a current and valid roster must be provided upon request.

Special Note on Indoor Facilities

For non-sanctioned indoor (“pay for play”) facilities, your club is required to secure a certificate of liability insurance. The facility itself will not be covered by ENYYSA and must carry primary liability coverage. ENYYSA will only act as secondary in these cases.

The COI must include:

  • Your Club

  • Your League

  • ENYYSA

Don’t Delay

Field access, safety, and compliance depend on this one form>> ENY Certificate of Insurance (COI) Request Form. Get it done now for the 2025/2026 season so your team can focus on the game, not the paperwork.
