CJSL Launches Referee Performance Report League-Wide
Beginning Spring 2026, the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) will implement the Referee Performance Report across all competitions.
This initiative establishes a structured, league-wide process for evaluating officiating standards and reinforcing professionalism in every CJSL match.
The report was piloted during the Fall season in select age groups with select teams. After review and refinement, it is now ready for full implementation across all CJSL clubs.
The Referee Performance Report is an online evaluation form available to a Club Administrator, Coach, or Team Manager who was physically present at the match. The evaluation gathers feedback in key areas:
• Professionalism
• Communication
• Knowledge and application of the Laws of the Game
• Game control and match management
• Player safety
• Overall match presence
Beginning this Spring, the CJSL rating form link will also be included in all official CJSL Game Reminder emails for Elite Travel and Girls City matches, ensuring consistent access and visibility for clubs across both competitions.
All submissions will be reviewed internally to monitor standards and support continued referee development.
Maintaining strong officiating standards remains a priority as the league continues to grow. CJSL Referee Assignor Andrew Ashmall-Liversidge emphasized the importance of structured feedback in strengthening the referee program:
“Quality officiating is essential to the integrity of the game. This initiative gives us meaningful feedback that helps us support our referees, reinforce standards, and continue improving across all levels of competition.”
— Andrew Ashmall-Liversidge, CJSL Referee Assignor
CJSL League Director Dimitrie Draguca added:
“We fully echo Andrew’s sentiment. At CJSL, we view our referees as part of the CJSL team — our standards and expectations are shared. As the league continues to grow, maintaining strong and consistent refereeing standards across all of our competitions is essential. This initiative also supports the continued development of our referees, many of whom are under the age of 20, and reinforces our responsibility to guide and strengthen the next generation of match officials.”
— Dimitrie Draguca, CJSL League Director
With the commitment of our clubs, CJSL will continue to strengthen officiating standards, support referee development, and reinforce a professional match environment across all competitions.
